There are a few different ways that you can migrate your crypto wallets to your new SphereOne account. This article will focus on leveraging recovering your wallets into SphereOne with a private key.
Getting Started
Step 1: Click the hamburger button on the top left of the screen to access the navigation menu. Select the Profile page.
Step 2: Select the Recover wallet button on the Profile page.
Step 3: Choose the self-custody wallet that you would like to migrate to SphereOne. In this example, we’ll use MetaMask, but you can migrate wallets from any of the twelve blockchains that SphereOne platform supports. Click on the ellipses on the top right corner of the MetaMask browser extension and select Account details.
Step 4: On the Account details page select Show private key.
Step 5: Enter the password to your MetaMask account to expose your private key information. After you enter your password Hold to reveal your Private Key.
Remember: Do not ever give your private key to anyone else. It’s essentially giving complete access to your cryptocurrency, NFTs, etc. Only provide your private key to trusted parties like SphereOne.
Step 6: Copy your private key from MetaMask and paste it on the Recover your wallet page in SphereOne. Click continue to successfully import your wallet.
Security Tip: After the initial onboarding process, you will never need to provide SphereOne with your private key details again. SphereOne employees will never ask you for your private key, so do not ever give your private key to any person asking for that information.
Step 7: Congratulations! You have imported your wallet into the SphereOne platform.
